Reports: Bears DE Washington Arrested For Driving With Suspended License
(CBS) Bears defensive end Cornelius Washington was arrested last Friday in Glascock County in Georgia for speeding and driving with a suspended license, according to multiple media reports that surfaced Monday afternoon.
Washington was going 70 mph in a 55-mph zone, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, and he was found to have a suspended license after he was pulled over. By late Monday afternoon, his citations had been taken care of, the Sun-Times reported.
The 24-year-old Washington is a native of Georgia and attended the University of Georgia, out of which he was a sixth-round draft pick of Chicago in 2013. He played in two games for the Bears last year and is battling for a reserve spot on the defensive line now.
