Report: Williams Will Return In 2012
(CBS) White Sox general manager Kenny Williams will return in 2012 and manager Ozzie Guillen is bracing for the end of his tenure on the South Side, according to the Chicago Sun-Times' Joe Cowley.
His report in Wednesday's Sun-Times says:
According to two sources, Reinsdorf wants Williams, already informing him he'll be brought back next season despite the $127 million wreckage he built for 2011.
The report also says that Guillen has already been informed that Williams will return. With their relationship at a breaking point, Guillen has said he wants an extension behind 2012, a request likely made to force Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf to make a decision with a job opening for Guillen in Miami.
That decision has apparently been made.
