White Sox Sign Tommy Hanson To Minor-League Contract
(CBS) The White Sox have signed right-hander Tommy Hanson to a minor league contract, CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman reported.
Hanson went 4-3 with a 5.42 ERA last season in Anaheim, and he failed to make make the Texas roster out of spring training this year. He's had a rough past few seasons, as he went 13-10 with a 4.48 ERA for Atlanta in 2012. Prior to that, the 27-year-old Hanson had proved to be a middle-of-the-rotation stalwart, compiling ERAs of 2.89, 3.33 and 3.60 and winning a combined 32 games in his first three years in the big leagues, all with the Braves.
