Volunteer For Aldermanic Candidate Attacked
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- Pre-election shenanigans are no stranger to Chicago politics, but it reportedly got a little rough-and-tumble yesterday on the Southwest Side.
The campaign manager for 19th Ward aldermanic candidate Anne Schaible says one of his volunteers crashed through the window of the campaign office with a man who allegedly began fighting with him outside

Campaign manager Tom Mannix says the incident happened along 103rd and Kedzie last night as he turned his back to call 911 after he saw the volunteer and the other man scuffling outside.
The volunteer was cut in the face with glass but wasn't badly hurt.
Chicago police say 44-year old Mark Smith, and not the campaign volunteer, was charged with misdemeanor battery.
