Report: Voice Of Te'o's Fake Girlfriend Was Not A Man
(CBS) One day after Roniah Tuiasosopo's lawyer claimed his client was the voice behind Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend, a member of the Tuiasosopo family said that's not true.
Instead, a Tuiasosopo cousin told the New York Post that Tino Tuiasosopo, Roniah's "pretty young cousin" was the one who played the part of Lennay Kekua over the phone.
So why would Roniah's lawyer, Milton Grimes, claim otherwise? According to the report, one of the relatives believes Roniah Tuiasosopo is "is determined to take the rap" for the hoax.
Meanwhile, ABC news correspondent Matt Gutman took the voicemails left on Teo's phone to audio experts who said it's impossible that it's a man talking.
