Report: Toub Exploring Options With Panthers, Chiefs
(CBS) Bears special teams coach Dave Toub interviewed with the Carolina Panthers Wednesday and has an interview set up with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Toub already interviewed with Bears general manager Phil Emery for the vacant head coaching job, but it appears unlikely the team will go in that direction. He could also stay on as the special teams coach, but the Bears have granted him permission to interview with other teams.
The interviews with the Panthers and Chiefs are for their vacant special teams coordinator positions. Toub and Panthers head coach Ron Rivera worked together in Chicago under former Bears head coach Lovie Smith.
Toub interviewed with the Miami Dolphins last year for their head coaching position.
