Report: State Employee Traded Sox Skybox For Lollapalooza Passes
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A state employee is under the microscope for trading the use of a White Sox skybox for passes to Lollapalooza.
As WBBM Newsradio's Brandis Friedman reports, the Chicago Sun-Times says Eric Stefancic, 36, who works as the marketing director for the state agency in charge of U.S. Cellular Field, gave free use of a state-owned skybox at the ballpark to promoters of the music festival.

The promoters from C3 Presents accepted the offer, and afterward, Stefancic asked them for 10 to 12 free three-day passes for Lollapalooza festival in Grant Park, which was already sold out, the Sun-Times reported.
The promoters obliged and gave Stefancic the passes, the newspaper reported.
Now, the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, for which Stefancic works, has launched an investigation, the Sun-Times reported. It is against state law for employees of the state to solicit gifts from companies with which their agency is trying to conduct business.
Stefancic is paid $61,398 per year for his state job, the Sun-Times reported.
