Report: Sox To Receive 2 Players From Marlins For Ozzie
(CBS) The White Sox will receive two players from the Florida Marlins as compensation for releasing Ozzie Guillen from his contract, MLB.com is reporting.
The site's national reporter, Jesse Sanchez, wrote on Twitter Tuesday morning that the Sox will receive infielder Osvaldo Martinez and a minor league pitcher from the Marlins.
Martinez, 23, has 71 major league plate appearances and is hitting just .258. He is regarded as a good defensive infielder.
Sources told 670 The Score that Guillen is on a plane to Miami this morning and could be introduced as the Marlins new manager Wednesday.
