Report: Some Miami Heat Fans Turning To Voodoo Dolls
MIAMI (CBS) -- Some Miami Heat fans apparently aren't satisfied just to hope their team performs best on the court.
TMZ reports Miami fans are buying voodoo dolls, by the hundreds, to curse the Dallas Mavericks during the NBA Finals.
The owner of one shop, El Viejo Lazaro Botanica, tells TMZ the voodoo dolls are selling fast, but did not known which specific Mavericks players were being targeted by the curses.
Miami fans are also buying an herbal bath product called "Paraiso," TMZ reported. The shop owner said a user puts the herbs in a bath, gets in, and visualizes what he wants to happen, such as the Miami Heat winning.
If a lot of Miami fans were bathing with Paraiso for Game 4, their efforts apparently didn't work. LeBron James scored only eight points in total for the whole game, as the Heat lost to the Mavericks 86-83.
Game 5 is Thursday night in Dallas.
