Report: Ravens' DeCosta At Top Of Bears' List
(CBS) The Bears have requested permission to interview Baltimore Ravens Director of Player Personnel Eric DeCosta for their vacant general manager position, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The report says DeCosta has emerged as the Bears' top choice for the position, but the Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams are also interested.
DeCosta has turned down opportunities to interview for other positions in the past because of his desire to stay in Baltimore. He is widely viewed as the successor to Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome.
There's also the chance the Ravens deny the Bears request to interview DeCosta. A botched trade between the two teams in last year's NFL Draft upset the Ravens' front office. However, if they deny the Bears' request, they also have deny all requests from other teams.
