Report: Quade Gets The 'Led' Out In Office
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Cubs manager Mike Quade has won the respect of a sports columnist in Des Moines, for rocking out to Led Zeppelin in his office and choosing the 'L' as his mode of transportation to work.
In a Tuesday column, Sean Keller of the Des Moines Register reported that Quade is also a fan of Led Zeppelin, and listens to the classic rock band in his office "loudly."
Keller reported. Quade told Keller that "superstition's got something to do with it."
Keller also pointed out that Quade had taken the Red Line to Wrigley Field on opening day this past Friday.
"Can you imagine (Lou) Piniella taking the Red Line to Wrigley Field the morning of a tilt? Or Dusty (Baker)? They'd never make it off a train," Keller wrote.
