Report: Public Health Programs Underfunded, Under Attack
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Public health programs are underfunded, and others are under political attack according to a report from the American Public Health Association.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Mary Frances Bragiel reports, the full report is expected to be released later Friday. It will reveal that only 10 of the 18 programs in the Affordable Care Act have received funding thus far and that many training grants and loan forgiveness programs have not been funded.
In addition, the Prevention and Public Health Fund could be eliminated by Congress.
