Report: Pittsburgh Mayor Orders Investigation After Cubs Fan Was Violently Arrested At PNC Park

(CBS) Pittsburgh mayor Bill Peduto has ordered an investigation into the violent arrest of a Cubs fan during the the wild-card game at PNC Park last Wednesday, according to a report from CBS Pittsburgh.

The investigation has been ordered after video of the arrest surfaced on YouTube over the weekend, cbspittsburgh.com reported. It's unclear why the Cubs fan was arrested, and no additional details were available as of early Monday afternoon.

The Cubs fan -- who was wearing what looked to be a goat costume -- can be heard on video yelling, "Stop it -- seriously, stop it!" Other individuals appear to cheer when the Cubs fan is forcefully taken to the ground.

A spokesperson for the Pittsburgh Police Department said she did not believe the fan was arrested, but was prohibited from releasing details until the internal investigation has been completed.

A spokesperson for the Mayor Peduto's office says the investigation is being conducted by the city's Office of Municipal Investigations, but there's no time line on when it will be complete.

The Cubs won the game 4-0 to advance to the NLDS, in which they're tied 1-1 heading into Monday evening's Game 3.
