Report: Peppers Sprained Knee

(CBS) Reports indicate Bears defensive end Julius Peppers sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during Monday night's 24-13 loss to the Lions.

Sources told the Chicago Tribune the degree of his MCL sprain is unknown, but the injury is not believed to be serious. Peppers has not been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Vikings.

He suffered the injury late in the first quarter Monday. Peppers appeared to plant his foot wrong while rushing toward Matthew Stafford.
