Report: Owners, Players Agree On Rookie Wage Scale
(CBS) NFL owners and players have come to an agreement on "the basic parameters of a rookie wage scale proposal", CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman reports.
This is a huge step in ending the NFL lockout as the rookie wage scale was one of the last big issues holding up talks.
"We're closing in on a deal," one source said in the report.
Freeman also reports that talks are expected to continue late Thursday night and could carry into the weekend if needed.
