Report: Olson Passed On Bears For Jaguars
(CBS) The Bears have only interviewed one candidate for their open passing coordinator/quarterback coach position, but that man turned down their offer and instead joined the Jaguars' staff.
670 The Score contributor Brad Biggs reports on the Chicago Tribune web site that Greg Olson was offered the job by Lovie Smith, but instead went to Jacksonville. The Jaguars gave him the title of assistant head coach in addition to being the quarterbacks coach and offered him a three-year contract. The Bears only offered two years.
Olson was previously the Bears' quarterbacks coach in 2003.
