Report: Judge Who Set Bail For Sandusky Was Second Mile Volunteer

(WSCR) According to a report from Dead Spin, when Jerry Sandusky was originally arraigned after being charged with more than 40 counts of child sexual abuse, prosecutors sought for $500,000 bail and that he be required to wear a leg monitor.

The presiding judge on the case, District Judge Leslie Dutchcot, instead ordered that Sandusky be freed on $100,000 unsecured bail and pay nothing unless he failed to show up for a court hearing.

It was later learned that Judge Dutchcot has worked as a volunteer for Sandusky charity for at-risk boys, The Second Mile.
