Report: Jeffery Could Return In 2 Weeks

(CBS) Injured Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery won't play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, but he could return the following week against the Houston Texans, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The reports cites a source that said "Jeffery should return soon". He's missed the last two games after breaking his right hand Oct. 7 on a touchdown catch in Jacksonville.

If Jeffery doesn't return against the Texans in two weeks, he would have an extra day to get ready for the following game as the Bears play the 49ers Monday, Nov. 19 in San Francisco.

"I wouldn't even try to guess when he's coming back," head coach Lovie Smith said Monday. "I just know he's making progress and we're hopeful."

Because it's just a hand injury, Jeffery has been able to stay in shape, which will help the wide receiver return sooner.
