Report: Jazz Send Deron Williams To Nets
They may have missed out on the Carmelo Anthony sweepstakes, but the New Jersey Nets could still be coming away with a pretty good player. According to a report, the Nets have traded for point guard Deron Williams.
Adrian Wojnarowski, of Yahoo! Sports, is reporting that the three-team trade involves the Nets, Jazz and Golden State Warriors.
The deal would send Derrick Favors, Devin Harris and two first-round picks to the Jazz. The Nets would receive Williams from Jazz, Brandan Wright and Dan Gadzuric from the Warriors. The Warriors would receive Troy Murphy from the Nets.
The Nets will also send the Jazz $3 million.
Williams stared at the University of Illinois before being drafted by the Jazz with the third overall pick in 2005.
