Report: Hamilton 'Very Close' To Return
(WSCR) Richard Hamilton hasn't played since March 5, but he may be returning to the Bulls' lineup soon.
According to a report, Hamilton took contact on his right shoulder Wednesday morning for the first time since spraining it on March 5 against the Pacers.
"He's very close," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "His legs are great, so he's over all those injuries. We want to make sure the strength is there in the shoulder. We're very encouraged. He's doing great."
Hamilton has played in just 16 games since signing with the Bulls in the offseason. The veteran shooting guard is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
Still, Thibodeau is looking forward to his return.
"He gives us a catch-and-shoot game and his moving without the ball and his playmaking," Thibodeau said. "Most teams trap him off catch-and-shoot and he's a good playmaker. So he adds a lot to our offense."
Derrick Rose is also a game-time decision for tonight's game, though it is unlikely he'll play.
