Report: Gruden Would Take OSU Job If Offered
CHICAGO (CBS) Shortly after Jim Tressel resigned as Ohio State's head coach, the speculation about his replacement started up. Two of the biggest the names that have been mentioned are Urban Meyer and Jon Gruden.
Meyer recently released a statement declaring that he wouldn't pursue a coaching job for this fall. Gruden, so far, has remained quite on the topic.
But according to Mike Freeman, of CBSSports.com, Gruden and Ohio State would be a perfect fit. And Freeman thinks that if the Buckeyes wanted to talk to Gruden about the job, he'd "listen and take it if offered."
