Report: Giannoulias To Teach Class At Northwestern
EVANSTON, Ill. (CBS/WBBM) -- Anyone wondering about the future of Alexi Giannoulias, after he lost his U.S. Senate race last year now has an answer.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Felicia Middlebrooks reports, he may now be called Professor Giannoulias, having accepted a new job teaching a new class at Northwestern University called "Campaigning vs. Leading."

Crain's Chicago Business reported Giannoulias, who also served a term as Illinois State Treasurer, will talk not only about the Senate race that he lost to Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) last year, but President Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign will also be part of his lesson plan.
To make his point, Giannoulias will bring in national and local lawmakers, pollsters, and political consultants, Crain's reported.
Giannoulias rose to prominence when he was elected state Treasurer in 2006 with the backing of then-Senator Obama.
But as he began his Senate campaign, he was taken to task for his association with his family's Broadway Bank, which failed a year ago. The bank was also the subject of revelations that it loaned $20 million to two convicted felons.
