Report: Ex-Illini Richmond Released From Jail On Bond
(CBS) Former Illini forward Jereme Richmond was released from jail on $100,000 bond Friday, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Richmond was arrested Aug. 8 along with three other men after a confrontation in front of a Waukegan home. According to the police report, Richmond arrived at the home of a woman he may of dated and yelled: "You looking for me? I'm here now. I'll shoot your ass."
A .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun was found in the vehicle driven by the men.
Richmond is due to appear in court Aug. 18.
The forward attended the University of Illinois for just one season and clashed with coaches and players before leaving the program. He declared for the NBA Draft, but went undrafted in June.
