Report: Eagles To Bring Back Adam Gase For 2nd Interview
(CBS) Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase appears to have impressed the Eagles in his initial interview Tuesday for their head coaching vacancy.
Philadelphia will bring Gase back for a second interview this weekend, the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday.
This news comes as Gase is on a whirlwind tour of coaching interviews. He's scheduled to meet with the Browns on Wednesday, the Dolphins on Thursday and the Giants on Friday as well for their head coaching vacancies, according to various reports.
The Eagles have also interviewed in-house candidates Duce Staley and Pat Shurmur, but neither is viewing as a leading candidate to this point.
The Eagles fired Chip Kelly recently after three seasons as coach, citing a lack of people skills and a failure to communicate within the organization.
The Bears have prepared for Gase's departure and touted his acumen.
"He's going to be good," Bears quarterback Cutler said of Gase's head coaching potential. "If he gets that shot, I'm going to be excited for him. He deserves it."
