Report: Dustin Johnson Suspended From PGA Tour For Cocaine Use
(CBS) On Thursday, PGA Tour pro Dustin Johnson announced he was taking a leave of absence from the game.
On Friday, we found out why.
Johnson has been suspended for six months by the PGA Tour after testing positive for cocaine this season, Golf.com reported.
This is Johnson's third failed drug test, according to Golf.com -- he also tested positive for marijuana in 2009 and for cocaine in 2012.
"I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced," Johnson said in a statement released Thursday. "By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfill my potential and become a consistent champion."
Johnson may be best known for being engaged to Paulina Gretzky, a model who is the daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.

Johnson's conduct has long been a topic of conversation among close observers of the Tour. He is often seen in bars near his home in Jupiter, Fla., and is also known to have had a sexual indiscretion with at least one wife of a PGA Tour player.
Johnson missed 11 weeks early in the 2012 season, citing back a back ski he suffered while lifting a jet ski. But Golf.com reported that the real reason was that he was serving a suspension for the first positive cocaine test.
Johnson has 10 career wins, and he was on track to participate for the USA in September's Ryder Cup before this incident.
