Report: Cubs, Jackson Agree On 4-Year Deal
(WSCR) According to multiple reports, the Cubs and free-agent pitcher Edwin Jackson have agreed on a four-year deal worth $52 million.
The deal is pending based on the results of a physical. Patrick Mooney of CSNChicago.com first reported the signing.
The 29-year-old Jackson is no stranger to Chicago, pitching for the White Sox in parts of 2010 and 2011.
The right-hander spent the 2011 season with Nationals, compiling a record of 10-11 with a 4.03.
Over 10 seasons, Jackson, who has played for seven teams, is 70-71 with a 4.40 ERA.
The Cubs also reportedly signed free-agent right-hander Carlos Villanueva to a two-year contract worth $10 million.
