Court Documents Reveal That Derrick Rose Says Sex With His Accuser Was Consensual
(CBS) Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has further responded to accusations by an ex-girlfriend that he and two friends sexually assaulted her in August 2013, saying that the sex with the woman was consensual.
TMZ first reported on the response earlier on Tuesday.
In the civil lawsuit the accuser has brought forth in California, she claims that Rose and two of his friends drugged her. After she left their residence and returned to her place, they followed and entered without permission when the apartment door was unlocked, then raped her, the suit alleges.
In response to the charges, Rose's attorney, in recently filed court documents, says the woman invited his group to her place and buzzed he and his friends in.
The woman became angry in the following weeks and months when Rose stopped returning her texts, according to court documents filed by Rose's defense attorney in the case, Mark Baute.
The response further states that the woman had consensual sex with more than one of the co-defendants on more than one occasion.
"The plaintiff consented to all sexual interaction and was not injured at all, and did not report, show or claim any injuries to anyone," according to the court filing.
A hearing in the civil case of Rose against "Jane Doe" has been set for Feb. 8, 2017 in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, according to lacourt.org.

In his first public comments on the case, Rose vehemently denied the accusations Monday at Bulls media day.
"You all saw everything that was put out," Rose said. "I will be proven innocent, but at the same time it hasn't effected anything. It's not true. I take it as motivation. I feel like the devil is just working. I feel like I'm on the right track as far as where I want to be at in my life and the direction I want to go. And I feel like that when you're that focused, people just try and take you down, so I'm very confident that I will be proven innocent."
The Bulls expressed support for Rose on Monday, with general manager Gar Forman saying he doesn't expect Rose to miss any practice or game time because of the civil suit.
"We support Derrick," Forman said. "He's part of our family. I know his teammates support him. Whatever the process is moving forward is the process."
