Report: Bulls To Sign Butler Off Waivers
According to a report, the Los Angeles Clippers' Rasual Butler will sign with the Chicago Bulls once he clears waivers.
The report, by CSN Chicago, cites Bulter's agent, Andy Miller, who said via text, "We intend on signing with Chicago when he clears waivers."
Butler, a 6'7'' swingman from La Salle University, is averaging 5.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 41 games with the Clippers this season. He's shooting 32.6% from three-point range and has averaged 18.1 minutes per game, including two starts.
Butler's best season as a pro came in 2009-10 when he averaged 11.9 points per game with the Clippers.
Butler is in the final year of his contract that's worth a reported $2.4 million, the Bulls are roughly $2.9 million under the salary cap.
