Report: Brawl Erupts At Jets Practice
(WSCR) According to a report, a brawl involving roughly 20 players erupted on the sidelines of the Jets practice Monday.
Reports indicate the brawl caused reporters to scatter out of the way and nearly spilled into a group of fans.
The fight allegedly started when safety D'Anton Lynn shoved running back Joe McKnight out of bounds after a screen pass. McKnight threw the ball at Lynn, and they immediately began fighting. McKnight first charged Lynn and threw the first punch. Seconds later, both the offensive and defensive units ran over, resulting in a massive pile of Jet players.
Players tumbled over advertisement placards, which run the length of the sideline, en route to the pile-up.
Jets head coach Rex Ryan immediately ran to the scrum and began pulling off players. McKnight had to be helped off the field.
