Report: Boozer Buys South Beach Condo For $2.35 Million
CHICAGO (CBS) Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer has reportedly purchased a $2.35 million condo in Miami.
According to Brian Bandell, of the South Florida Business Journal, Boozer took out a $1.76 million mortgage with Charles Schwab Bank for the 4,135-square-foot condo.
Bandell reports that the deed was signed on March 29, but wasn't recorded in the county records until May 3, meaning that Boozer had purchased the unit before the Bulls started their Eastern Conference finals series with the Miami Heat, a series the Bulls would eventually lose 4-1.
Over last summer's free agency period, Boozer had expressed interest in joining the Heat, but would eventually sign a five-year, $75 million contract with the Bulls.
