Report: Bears To Interview Singletary For Head Coaching Job
(WSCR) If one thing is certain, Bears general manager Phil Emery isn't overlooking anyone as he searches for Lovie Smith's replacement.
In fact, according to a report, the team will sit down with Bears Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary to see if he has what it takes to lead the team he won a Super Bowl with.
Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune reports the decision to interview Singletary could have come at the request of ownership.
Singletary previously coached the 49ers to a record of 18-22 over parts of three seasons. He is currently the linebackers coach and special assistant to head coach Leslie Frasier of the Vikings
