Report: Bears' Manumaleuna To Undergo Knee Surgery
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Bears tight end Brandon Manumaleuna will soon undergo knee surgery, according to a published report.
The Chicago Tribune reported late Wednesday night that Manumaleuna will undergo minor arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, in what amounts to "basically a clean-out." He had a similar procedure on his left knee last year, the Tribune reported.
Manumaleuna has only missed two games in the 10 years he has been playing, the Tribune reported.
The tight end and fullback signed a five-year contract with the Bears a year ago, after a stint with the San Diego Chargers, and before that the St. Louis Rams, where he played for Bears offensive coordinator Mike Marts.
