Rep. Walsh: Chicago Is Raiding Businesses From Suburbs To Help 'Crumbling' City
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (CBS) -- U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) says Motorola Mobility's decision to relocate to Chicago from Libertyville is another example of Mayor Rahm Emanuel raiding the suburbs to help city.
As WBBM Newsradio Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports, Walsh says it bothers him that Emanuel seems to be taking jobs from suburbs and bringing them to the city.

Walsh says the mayor is using the same contacts who helped him make millions after left the Clinton White House years ago.
"So that's what he's doing now as mayor. He's using some of his contacts. He's calling on some old chits to bring a few symbolic companies' employees into Chicago try to give the appearance that Chicago is on its way back," Walsh said. "Chicago is crumbling right now because of these very same policies."
Walsh said Emanuel knows the gloomy reality in Chicago.
"Mayor Emanuel knows that Chicago is in deep, deep, trouble. It's bankrupt, and its streets are falling apart. Its schools are a mess," Walsh said. "And so, what he's going to try to do is use his connections, and that's all he's done."
Motorola says a quarter of all those working in its current Libertyville complex already live in Chicago. They got the word Thursday just before leaving, though rumors surfaced back in May that its new owners, Google, was shopping for space in Chicago.
