Reinsdorf Says He Won't Be Selling Sox Anytime Soon
(CBS) -- In an interview with the Sports Business Journal, White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdaorf said that he has no immediate plans to sell the team and plans, saying he plans to be at the ballpark for the 2033 MLB All-Star Game.
In a statement by the White Sox, Reinsdorf, 77, said he recommends the Sox go up for sale when he dies, but acknowledges that it won't be his decision to make.
The statement said "He recognizes that he may be in the fourth quarter, but as he said, he's playing for triple overtime," and went on tho say "right now the plan is to address succession after the 2033 All-Star Game."
