Red Sox DFA Brent Lillibridge
(WSCR) Turns out former White Sox utility man Brent Lillibridge won't get to face his old team tonight after all.
Acquired by Boston along with Zach Stewart in exchange for Kevin Youkilis, Lillibridge was designated for assignment Monday afternoon to make room for the returning Carl Crawford.
Lillibridge appeared in just 10 games for the Red Sox, hitting just two singles in 16 at-bats.
