Recent NBA Draftees Now Face 'Limbo'
CHICAGO (WSCR) Thursday night's NBA Draft was the culmination of a dream that many of the players selected had for a long time. But now that they've been drafted into the NBA, they'll have to sit and wait while the league works out their labor issues.
"They'll be in a limbo because they can't sign," Sam Smith, from ChicagoBulls.com, said on the Boers and Bernstein Show.

The Chicago Bulls selected Nikola Mirotic and Jimmy Butler in the first round. While Mirotic, currently playing for Real Madrid in Spain, isn't likely to see the NBA any time soon, Butler could potentially contribute to the Bulls this season. But if the labor negotiations go south, Butler and the other 2011 draft picks could be exactly where the NFL's draft picks are.
"They're probably going to have some sort of stoppage [in the NBA]," Smith said. "And once they do, you know, there's no summer camps and...you can't work out in the team facilities, and they'll be pretty much on their own."
The NBA's collective bargaining agreement expires on June 30.
