Rain Blows Into Area; Some Snow May Come Overnight
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The temperatures are back up to the pleasant 40s this Wednesday afternoon, but you'll be needing your umbrella.
CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros says as of 11 a.m., it was 42 degrees at O'Hare International Airport, 41 at Midway, and 43 in Waukegan.
But moisture is blowing in front he southwest, and as the afternoon goes on, the chance of rain at any given location increases, from 30 percent at 3 p.m. to 90 percent in the later part of the day.
Heavier rain is expected overnight, and it will turn to snow as temperatures begin to drop off to a low of 36 degrees. But little or no accumulation is expected.
On Thursday, the forecast high is 40 with a mix of rain and snow in the early part of the day. But skies will clear up as the day goes on.
Come Friday, the high hits a balmy 40 degrees, only to drop back to the upper 30s on Saturday and Sunday. But overall, it's looking far more like late March or early April than mid-February.
