Raffi Torres Suspended Indefinitely, Will Have In-Person Hearing Friday
(CBS) Coyotes forward Raffi Torres has been suspended indefinitely for his hit on Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa Tuesday night.
Torres will have an in-person hearing with the NHL Friday in New York, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announce Wednesday.
The hearing was originally planned for today, but it was deferred at the request of Torres and NHL Players' Association.
The hit resulted in Hossa getting carried off the ice on a stretcher. He was taken to the hospital for treatment as was released. His status for the rest of the series is unknown.
