Quinn, Brady Argue Over Who Should Apologize
CHICAGO (AP) - Both major candidates in the race for Illinois governor say the other one should apologize.
Republican Bill Brady continues to call for Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn to apologize for a supporter's remarks over the weekend.
State Senator Rickey Hendon accused Brady of being racist, sexist and homophobic. He said Brady supports violence against gay people and would take away women's rights.
Quinn says he doesn't agree with those remarks, but he won't apologize for something another person said.
Quinn went further Monday and said Brady owes the people of Illinois an apology. He says Brady has "a sorry record" of voting against raising the minimum wage and proposing budget cuts that would hurt schools.
