Quentin Named AL Player Of The Week
The Chicago White Sox's Carlos Quentin has been named the American League's Player of the Week, for the week ending on April 3.
The 28-year old Quentin was six-for-11 with three doubles, one home run and seven RBI in the first three games of the season.
His five RBI on opening day tied Sammy Sosa's 1991 mark for second most by a White Sox player on Opening Day. The record is held by Minnie Minoso, with six in 1951.
