Closing Arguments In Hudson Family Murder Trial Set For Wednesday
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The defense and prosecution have rested their case against the man accused of killing Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew.
Prosecutors had presented two weeks of evidence against William Balfour, who was once married to Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia. Balfour did not take the stand in his own defense.
Balfour's defense has argued that the state's evidence is circumstantial.
The judge has said closing arguments could happen Wednesday.
Jennifer Hudson has sat through the trial. She was the prosecution's first witness.
