Project Shuts Down Ramp From I-294 To I-90
ROSEMONT, Ill. (CBS) It's a little harder to get from the Tri-State Tollway to the Kennedy Expressway now, as the ramp leading to Interstate 90 is closed for a reconstruction project.
As CBS 2's Kris Habermehl reports, the flyover ramp bridge from the southbound I-294 to eastbound I-90 will be closed for the rest of the season for the $13 million reconstruction project.

The other ramp, from the northbound Tri-State to westbound I-90, will be reconstructed next year.
To get to the outbound Kennedy I-294, motorists must now exit at the cloverleaf interchange at for southbound Mannheim Road, then get back on using the I-190 eastbound ramp and merge onto eastbound I-90 with traffic from O'Hare International Airport.
The Daily Herald reports more than 32,000 drivers per day will be affected by the project.
More information is available at the Illinois Tollway Web site, and information cards are being distributed at nearby toll plazas, including River Road, Devon and Irving Park.
