Probe: Workers' Comp Widely Abused In Illinois
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- A new investigation has found yet another way that Illinois taxpayers are being cheated.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's David Roe reports, the investigation conducted by the downstate Belleville News-Democrat finds that many, state, city and private workers in Illinois have gotten thousands of tax-free dollars paid through worker's compensation with nothing more than a doctor's note.
