PR Executive Charged With Raping Women He Met Online
CHICAGO (STMW) -- As vice president of a downtown PR firm, Ignacio Carrillo spent his days dealing with some high-profile clients, but, according to Cook County prosecutors, he spent at least some of his nights raping women he met in on dating websites.
Judge Israel Desierto ordered Carrillo, 37, of the 2000 block of West Irving Park Road, held on $500,000 bond Friday after two women identified him as the man who raped them after they met online, according to the Cook County State's Attorney's office.
The vice president for the Latino division of Flowers Communication Group in the Loop will face a preliminary hearing Sept. 29 on two counts of criminal sexual assault.
The latest victim, a 33-year-old north suburban woman, went on a date with Carrillo on Sept. 3, and after going to several bars in the Lincoln Park area, they returned to his Porsche in a parking garage, state's attorney's office spokesman Andy Conklin said, citing court records.
But Carrillo then pinned the woman against the car, lifted her dress and underwear, and raped her, prosecutors allege. He then flipped her over and raped her a second time, while she cried and told him to stop.
He tried to drive the woman to a motel to have sex again, but she demanded he take her home, court records show. He dropped her off a block from her home, and she called her sister, who took her to a hospital, prosecutors allege.
That victim and the earlier victim both identified Carrillo from his online profile, Conklin said, citing court records. The name of the site was not disclosed by prosecutors.
According to prosecutors, the first rape occurred on Oct. 15, 2009, when Carrillo went on a date with a 38-year-old west suburban woman, prosecutors allege. He allegedly took her to a bar, where, after one drink, she reported feeling dizzy.
He then took her to a hotel, where she texted her sister, saying "Help. Not well." When Carrillo noticed he threw the phone across the room and raped the woman, though she told him "No. Stop," prosecutors allege.
The woman's sister arrived at the hotel, where she allegedly saw Carrillo naked on the bed. She took her sister to a hospital where a semen sample was discovered, prosecutors allege.
