Power Restored To 4,000 In Edgewater Following Outage
CHICAGO (STMW) - About 4,000 Commonwealth Edison customers on the Far North Side were without power for about an hour Saturday.
Some residents reported power out in the Edgewater and Andersonville neighborhoods, generally in the area of Clark Street north of Foster Avenue, about 4:30 p.m.
Approximately 4,000 customers in that area had their power knocked out because of an outage, ComEd spokeswoman Martha Swaney said.
ComEd crews were soon on the scene working to restore power and by about 5:30 p.m. power had been restored to those customers, Swaney said.
It was not immediately known what caused the outage.
