Possible Lockout Could Limit Trade Possibilities For Bulls
CHICAGO (WSCR) While the Chicago Bulls fell a few wins short of reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since the 1997-98 season, they were really only one player away from beating the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals.
Derrick Rose emerged as a dominate force, but the Bulls clearly need an additional scorer who can create his own shot and convert from the perimeter.
With little salary cap space, the Bulls will be forced to find that scorer via a trade, which could get increasingly difficult as the likelihood of a lockout increases.
"There may be a couple trades before the lockout," Adrian Wojnarowski, of Yahoo! Sports, said on the Danny Mac Show. "But I just think teams don't know, with the salary cap and the changes in the new CBA, they want to see what it's all going to look like before they commit to really revamping their rosters and taking on salaries, giving up salaries.

"I don't think you're going to see much, as much around the draft as you usually do. And if the lockout comes July 1, you know, you're going to have to wait until that ends and people see the new landscape before they make deals. And I think Chicago would be included in that."
