Pompei: Sans Tice, Bears Would Have No Offensive Identity
(WSCR) With changes in no short supply at Halas Hall, the Bears may be running thin on the offensive side of the ball.
Reports are surfacing that the Raiders are set to interview current offensive coordinator Mike Tice for their head coaching position. If Tice is hired, the Bears would be without an offensive line coach, quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator.
"If you consider the possibility of losing Tice this late in the process, it is somewhat alarming," Dan Pompei of the National Football Post and Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley said. "You've kind of got things in place now, you're going a certain way. Then, all of the sudden, not only do you not have an offensive line coach and a quarterbacks coach, you also have no offensive coordinator. You have no offensive identity. Many of the good coaches have been hired. It would be a tough situation if Tice were to leave."
