Poll: High-Speed Internet Tops Tech Advances
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- What's the greatest technological advance over the past decade?
Perhaps one might answer the question with another question – can you imagine sitting waiting for the buzzes and hisses of a dial-up Web connection today?
WBBM's Mike Krauser reports that a new poll says high-speed Internet has had the biggest technological impact on people's lives. It's something that a lot of people say they can't live without, just ahead of e-mail.

An on-line poll conducted by Zogby International also finds that Facebook has had the second-biggest impact, followed by Google.
Looking ahead, the poll finds that people expect that in the 2011, the next big thing will be in home entertainment and general computing.
They also see widespread use of stem cells and organ cloning in the coming years.
