Police Warn Residents After Child Abduction Attempt
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are warning parents in the Back of the Yards about a man who tried to lure a teenager into his car Tuesday.
The 13-year-old boy was walking in the 1100 block of West 50th Street about 4:15 p.m. when the man told him to get into his car, police said.
The boy ran away.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, with short black hair and a mustache, police said. He was wearing a blue striped button-down shirt and driving an older-motel teal or turquoise four-door sedan.
