Police Warn Of Two Armed Robberies In Same Lawndale Block
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning about two armed robberies in the same block less than a day apart in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.
In both robberies, three people approached someone, showed a handgun and took property, according to an alert from Chicago Police. In one robbery, the suspects drove away in a black Nissan.
The robberies both happened in the 1100 block of South Troy. The first one happened at 10:20 a.m. Friday, and the second one happened at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, police said.
The robbers were described as three black males. One was 6-foot-1, 190 pounds and wore his hair in dreadlocks; another wore dreadlocks and was 20-30 years old, 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, and the third was 20-25 years old, 6-foot and 180 pounds, police said.
